Segal Benz is a leading consulting practice that provides all the services and subject matter expertise needed to envision, plan, create, and deploy effective communications in any medium. With deep expertise in all aspects of HR and employee benefits program design, administration, and communications, Segal Benz knows it is vital to understand what’s important to employees, what motivates them, what their goals are, and where they get stuck. The consulting team regularly conducts employee focus groups on behalf of its clients to design data-driven communication strategies. 

The challenge with these focus groups is that they can be a logistical burden to set up, are time-consuming, expensive, only include a handful of people, and often one loud employee takes over the conversation. Also, it’s challenging for people to give honest responses when they’re in a room full of colleagues. Segal Benz was in search of an effective way to access meaningful, authentic employee insights — faster — based on a diverse pool of employees that would allow them to deliver on their promise of providing trustworthy advice.

Solution

Looking Ahead

In the future, Segal Benz is planning to expand its use of Remesh. Currently, Remesh is mostly being used to evaluate clients’ total rewards packages, but Segal Benz is introducing the platform earlier in the process in the plan design phase. This approach garners valuable input from employees before benefit plans are selected.
